Rainbow direct is terrible

wet shopping for a wooden swingset about 8 months ago and came across rainbow direct in menlo nj.michael the saleman convinced my family that a "rainbow play set" was the best.

he acted like a used car saleman but even so i bought the set. it's now a few months later and the set is weathering horribly! the wood is all splintered and discolored. i called to complain and he (michael) told me this is normal wear?

how can that be?bottom line-- the set is a overpriced piece of junk and both rainbow play systems and the store "rainbow direct" who i subsequently found out is not "direct" at all should be ashamed of themselves.

I had a problem getting warranty coverage from Rainbow direct for my child's swing set.The wood has rotted, and the play set is no longer safe.

They advertise a lifetime warranty, but will not replace the covered parts unless I pay them hundreds of dollars for "shipping and processing" even though I am willing to come to their location in Parsippany with my truck to pick it up myself.

NOT a reputable company.

Do not buy from them.There are other options out there for a playset where a warranty means warranty - Costco, walmart, home depot, etc.

I totally agree.Read the fine print on the warranty because we felt we got screwed when the bridge ladder started to rot like a 2 week old banana.

They told us they are willing to warranty it but I would have to pay for shipping and installation, which works out to be over 300 dollars.What a crock of sh#t!!!

There is no reason you should have to pay for shipping even for a Pickup, what am I responsible for shipping if it's shipped to the store??????

i am not happy with my rainbow swing set.very expensive and poor performance.

we have many problems with mold all over the yellow handles and very bad splintering of the wood.

the company has not been helpful in resolving the problems.i spent over $4000 and feel left out in the cold.
